WHO WE ARE
WE ARE NOT ASHAMED TO CALL OURSELVES BAPTISTS. FURTHERMORE, WE ARE PROUD TO BE
INDEPENDENT BAPTISTS.
AS INDEPENDENT BAPTISTS, WE PATTERN OURSELVES AFTER NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIANITY.
WE ARE PROUD TO BE AN OLD-FASHIONED, SPIRIT-FILLED, KING JAMES ONLY,
BIBLE-BELIEVING CHURCH. WE PRAISE GOD THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVES IN OUR
CONGREGATION IN SUCH A POWERFUL WAY.
WHAT WE BELIEVE AS BAPTISTS:
B- Believers Baptism by Immersion Only. Baptism is not a means of salvation.
We believe that once a person is regenerated, they should follow the Commandment
of Christ and be Obedient to Believer’s Baptism by Immersion only.
A- Authority of God’s Word. We believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of
the Word of God. God’s Word is the sole authority of faith and practice for our
lives. It is Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible, and can and should be trusted for
any matter or issue of life. Faith Baptist Church only uses and preaches out of
the KING JAMES BIBLE. We acknowledge no other version.
P- Priesthood of the Believer. We adhere to the personal and intimate
relationship that one possesses upon receiving Christ as Savior. Christ is our
Great High Priest, who intercedes for us before God. We have direct access to
the Throne of Grace through the shed blood of Christ. Although we encourage one
another to pray for each other, we do not need a pastor, preacher, priest, or
prophet to intercede on our behalf. Christ has already accomplished that.
T- Two Ordinances: The Lord’s Supper and Baptism. We believe these two
ordinances were given to us by Christ to remind us of His death, burial, and
resurrection. The practice of these ordinances should only be exercised by
those who confess Christ as Lord, and live a life that is pleasing to Christ.
We believe that Baptism is by immersion, and is only necessary once after
salvation. The Lord’s Supper reminds the believer of the Body of Christ that
was broken, and the Blood that was shed for our redemption. Faith Baptist
Church uses only Grape Juice in our communions.
I- Independence of the Local Church. We believe that the Headquarters for the
local church is the local church. Christ is the Head, and the Church is the
Body. We believe that the church is an autonomous, self-appointing, and
self-governing body. We receive our instruction and direction from the Word of
God. Therefore, we are called Independent Baptists. We do not report to a
Baptist Association or Committee.
S- Salvation by Grace Alone. The work of Grace is freely given by God the
Father, through the obedience of God the Son, by the regeneration of God the
Holy Spirit. Salvation cannot be earned or learned. We oppose a gradual or
progressive salvation. The moment we accept Christ into our heart, we
immediately receive the Spirit of God. We oppose a Second Work of Grace. We
stand firm on the Biblical Truth of Eternal Security for those in Christ Jesus.
Baptism, church membership, tithing, good works, decent morals, nor faithful
standing will admit anyone into the Body of Christ.
T- Two Offices.
We also believe the Two Offices that are Ordained Positions in the Local church
are that of the Pastor and Deacon. We do not ordain women. We do not ordain
novices. We do not ordain those who are not in line with Biblical
qualifications. We further believe that those who hold such offices should be
regarded in high esteem. We should pray always for those who are in leadership
positions.
S- Separation.
We believe that all Christ-honoring Christians should be separated Christians.
We believe in personal separation. We should not be yoked together with
worldliness or ungodliness.
We believe in Church/State separation. There is a Biblical line between the
business of our church and the business of our State. We should render to
Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s. This
in no way implies that religion and politics should not mix, nor does it imply
that God should be left out of the public arena. We should be law-abiding
citizens that pray for our country, president, and others in leadership. We
believe we should vote for those candidates that line up with the truths in the
Word of God.
We also believe in Ecclesiastical separation. We do not seek fellowship with
those who are not of the some mind and faith.
FAITH BAPTIST IS CHRIST LED- NOT PURPOSE DRIVEN
WE RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH- WE DO NOT DESIRE TO BE SEEKER-SENSITIVE.
WE ARE FOR THE OLD-TIME, SPIRIT-FILLED, BIBLE-BELIEVING WAY. WE LOVE THE LOST
AND DYING WORLD. WE STRIFE TO EDIFY THE BODY OF CHRIST, AND TO REACH OUT TO
THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY FOR THE GOSPEL’S CAUSE.
IT IS OUR DESIRE TO BE A GOING CHURCH FOR A COMING KING.
